I have always knew there were “those” people in the world. You know, the ones that try to hurt you or just push you down in any sort of way. At first I thought, “Hell they won’t bring me down” but slowly I began to realize that I was wrong.
I’m Anna, just your average 14 year old girl who loves to draw and illustrate anything and everything. I used to be a very happy-go-lucky person, that is until the accident. My parents died in a car crash a few years back, and since then I’ve been here at the orphanage. I don’t do much, I don’t socialize, I mean why should I? I get hurt and abused a lot from the other kids in the orphanage. I’m what you might call the outcast of the place. Heck, even the headmistress doesn’t like me. Though I guess you’re really looking more forward to the actual story. Well fine, let’s just start at the beginning.
It all started about 4 years ago right after my parents deaths. I had been brought to this orphanage in hopes that a new family would, kindly, take me in. No one. No one came to get me, they would get other children- but they wouldn’t take me. I was very antisocial, very negative about things. No one in the orphanage could stand to be around me. That is, until one day a small boy about my age came.
He had strawberry blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and the most idiotic smile I’ve ever seen. At first I paid no attention thinking that he would not even notice me. I was wrong.
The boy came over and decided to sit by me. Just as he did, I could hear the murmurs around us start up.
“Hey, what are you drawing?” he asked, his voice quiet and kind. I stared at him blank gray eyes staring into his blue ones.
“What does it look like?” I snapped back. He jumped and slowly started to shrink down.
“I’m sorry! I just wanted to know,” he whimpered, his blue eyes now terrified. I scowled and got back to drawing as he slowly sat back up.
“It’s nice to meet you,” he said going back to being the cheerful boy he was. I glared, making sure that my gray eyes sent daggers at him.
“I’m Keith!” he exclaimed, as if he was paying no mind to my death glare. I nodded, not really caring about his name, and kept drawing.
“Anna,” I responded quietly. For the reason, I did not understand why I had said my name to him. I didn’t like him, heck I didn’t like anyone here.
Keith simply nodded and kept talking to me, as if he thought I was actually listening. I sighed in annoyance finally speaking up, “Listen I would like it if you would please just shut the hell up!”
He stared at me wide eyed and looked as though he was about to cry. I growled and got back to drawing as if nothing had happened.
“Why so mean?” he asked weakly.
“Because I don’t want you to be anywhere near me!” I shouted, now in full and utter rage.
Keith nodded and slowly left tears on the brink of falling. I stopped and looked at him for a second, then finally decided to speak, “Listen, sit your ass back down now”.
Keith stared as his tears went away as soon as I had said what I said. I sighed and kept drawing looking up to see everyone staring at me.
“What the hell do you want?!” I shouted, as everyone turned back away going back to what they had been doing before.
I growled still listening to the blubbering idiot beside me. This was definitely going to be a long, fucking, day.
